What happens if our plans change after we’ve booked our Guildenacre adventure?

Flint the Badger likes to keep things organised! All Guildenacre tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
However, we understand that even the best-laid woodland plans can change. If you need to move your visit to another date (or in some cases, time slot) we’re happy to help for an admin fee of £10 per booking.

Here’s how:

  • Email us at info@guildenacre.com
  • Let us know at least 24 hours before your visit
  • Ticket amendments are processed Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00
  • Please allow up to 72 hours for your request to be processed
  • Requests made after 17:00 will be handled from the next working day.

Your new adventure date must:

  • Be at least 3 days after your original booking
  • Be within 3 months
  • If the new date costs more, you’ll pay the difference on arrival
  • If it costs less, we’re unable to refund the difference.

Flint thanks you kindly for planning ahead!

Oh no! One of our adventurers is poorly – what would Eira the Owl advise?

Boo! Eira says it’s no fun when an adventurer isn’t feeling their bravest.

If someone in your party is poorly and you can’t attend, you may switch your date (availability permitting) for the £10 admin fee, as long as you contact us at least 24 hours before your visit.

Tickets remain non-refundable, and this excludes special events.

We hope your little explorer feels as bright-eyed as Eira again very soon!

Do you ever close parts of Guildenacre?

Guildenacre reserves the right to close any part of the playground if necessary.

This may be due to:

  • Severe weather
  • Power issues
  • Circumstances beyond our control.

Our guardians always prioritise everyone’s safety. Ticket holders would be contacted to rearrange their visit.

What should we wear for our magical adventure?

Flint says: wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little grubby!

We recommend:

  • Sensible shoes
  • Comfortable clothes for running, jumping and climbing
  • Covered skin for sun protection and slide safety.

Dress for the weather, come rain or shine!

What if the rain clouds gather over Atlas’ Elderglade?

Guildenacre is an outdoor adventure, and Atlas reminds everyone that woodland fun continues rain or shine!
We encourage all visitors to dress appropriately.

In cases of persistent rainfall (at least 2 hours non-stop), and if you have already been playing in the playground, Guildenacre may offer a FREE return visit at our discretion.

  • The return date will be selected by Guildenacre
  • This is not guaranteed
  • Guests must have been onsite for consideration.

Atlas says: puddles can be part of the adventure too!

Can pushchairs and buggies explore the woodland paths?

Of course! Little legs get tired — Vex understands.

Guildenacre is accessible for pushchairs, but please remember:

  • We are set within a natural woodland
  • Some areas may be bumpy or hilly
  • Play structures are not suitable for buggies
  • You can park them nearby while you climb and play.
Is Guildenacre accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters?

Every effort has been made to allow reasonable access to the woodland.

However, due to our natural terrain:

  • Some areas may have restricted access
  • Pathways may become muddy in typical British weather
  • Mobility scooters are welcome at your own risk.
Do children need a grown-up guardian?

Yes! All adventurers under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Guildenacre is designed for little people and big people alike; everyone is encouraged to climb, clamber and play together.

Yes, adults play too! (Atlas insists grown-ups deserve fun as well, as long as they are accompanying a child.)

May our furry friends join the quest?

Sorry, no pets are allowed inside Guildenacre for the safety of our guests. However assistance dogs are welcome, in line with Equality and Human Rights Commission guidance. Pets can be walked around Wades meadow and on the footpaths nearby as long as their owners tidy up after them.

Pets must not be left in cars unless accompanied by a responsible adult. Anyone found leaving a pet unattended will be asked to leave. Vex whispers that some woodland friends are a little shy of dogs!

Eating in the woodland?

We offer tasty refreshments onsite so you can let us handle the hard work while you refuel for more exploring. Click to read more about Black Dog Deli.

You’re very welcome to bring a picnic to Guildenacre.

We have a designated picnic area where you can sit and enjoy your lunch. Please do not upset the Guardians by littering their home – please take all rubbish away with you.

Can we bring alcohol into Guildenacre?

We are not licensed to allow alcohol inside the playground.

May we smoke or vape in Guildenacre?

Guildenacre is proudly family-friendly and promotes a no-smoking policy inside the playground.

Smoking is only permitted in the car park.

We also kindly ask visitors to refrain from vaping inside the playground as it affects others’ enjoyment.

Flint says woodland creatures prefer fresh air!

Do you hold Birthday Parties?

We do not currently hold birthday parties within Guildenacre, but the Guardians would still love to celebrate your little adventurer’s birthday. Please let the Guardian team know before you come to play, and we can add your adventurer’s name to our birthday board.

Is it possible to make group bookings?

Of course, the more the merrier! Large parties can get in touch with our Groups Team who will be more than happy to help. Email info@guildenacre.com

Do you accept magical coins or only enchanted cards?

Yes, the Guardians accept both the old ways and the new.

Oh dear! We’ve lost something in the woods!

We keep lost property for approximately 3–4 weeks.

If you’ve misplaced something Vex will help to find it:

  • Email info@guildenacre.com
  • Please include details on lost property and visit details
  • We aim to respond within 48 hours.

Unclaimed items are donated to charity after the holding period.
